Many of us have ‘a bad night’ from time to time. What defines a sleep problem?

It’s difficult to define ‘normal sleep’ as age, lifestyle, environment and diet play a key part in influencing the amount of sleep we get, however here are some of the most common symptoms of a sleep problem and the key word to add is recurring:

  • Trouble falling asleep
  • Wakefulness during the night
  • Wakefulness very early in the morning
  • Irritable moods and low energy levels
  • Reduced concentration and focus
  • Chronic fatigue
